    9 week beach cut

Ok the 1st of this month I've been triming cals out of the diet in an atempt to remove some mid section chub and comming to the end of March progress isn't too shabby I'm down 3/4" off the "spare tire" region. Now with 9 weeks basically till beach time I want to step it up and incorporate some cardio so my question is; how much cardio a week would be suffice in your opinion to be ready for opening "beach strut" on June 1st? ie: 3 days, 4 days ect. I'm reading up on HIT so I can learn a little more and incorporate it since what I've read so far it seems to be the best for results. I train at home but I have a stationary bike and treadmill. The snow up here (northern wisconsin) is pretty much off the side walks so soon I should be able to take it out side. I'm attatching a pic so you can see what I'm working with and if it helps I can wear a 32" waist pants comfortably. Thanks for any feedback

yup. if you are doing either HIIT or Max-OT cardio correctly you only need to do it 2-3x a week max.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Since you havent done any yet, use it as a tool. For the first week, go 1-2 times max, same with the second week. If you arent seeing results, then make some adjustments. Ultimately diet will get you there, if its spot on.

You know I was pondering your statement here, now I've never been into doing cardio at all EVER with the exception of the military where I didn't have a choice so I don't know what to expect as far as noticing results and I re-read your post here and you said make adjustments in a week or 2 if I'm not seeing progress? So I should be able to see or measure some difference in that short of time? IF I'm doing HIIT properly and my diet is good ofcourse. I never would have guessed that short of time. Interesting. Kind of makes me feel like I got some time here I was kind of stressing with only 9 weeks or so till summer.

In the past 4 weeks, I have lost 2" off my gut witn NO cardio, and only alterations to diet and RI's(rest intervals) during training. The first week, I saw no difference, but the second showed small progress and the third a little more. Just take measurements, and maybe a few pics. Compare after 2 weeks, and see where your at. Things should change fairly quick if everything is in order. Goodluck man.
