    Help!

I few years back now my Dad had an operation on his neck due to a spinal injury, which mean he can't do any exercise with might pull his neck or any sort of impact exercise. He's about 18st and his spine crushed the nerves which send signals to his legs, so his brain tells him he has cramp when infact he doesn't, and if he's sat down for a few minutes the signal from his brain takes a few seconds longer to get to his legs, hence we wobbles about and his entired body shakes.

I was just wonderin what sort of exercises he could do, that were low/ non impact didn't put any pressure on his neck and could help him loose weight and gain mass?

Ask a physical therapist or sports doctor..........there is no one here qualified to give this kind of advice.............even if there is a doctor here,I`m sure he would want to examine your father before recommending anything that may hurt him.

my dad crushed his spinal cord and has shatterd disks in neck and back, but is fine now apart from the occasional pain and stiff neck etc, but this is very serious and could cause paralysis for life if not looked at properly, get him to see a proper docter of that specific medical area and see what he has to say, not worth risking it imho
