Running on the Treadmill

I'm one of the many who doesn't like to run a marathon on the treadmill...and by reading and doing a little research, I've heard that HIIT training is probably best to suite my needs. But how do you do HIIT on a treadmill without always having to manually push buttons? Is there a training routine that you guys out there use? Or any type of cardio on the treadmill that you guys do that doesn't last over 20 minutes?

comon buddy, if you think you can do real hiit training then you can also push some buttons on the treadmill......or you can also go out on the track at a school or something....the way i do it is, i go out on a track sometimes and sprint the straights as fast fast fast as i can and then jog (not walk) jog the curves...

I just bought a new treadmill that's perfect for hiit. In addition to the normal, speed up/down buttons; it has present buttons for even speeds from 2-10mph.

Run outside, treadmills blow.

When I did use a treadmill I manually pushed the buttons, but the newer treadmills will take a card you can pre-program me thinks.

No, the only short cardio I do is on a treadmill. It sucks and I hate it, but I do it anyway. At least varying the speeds throughout the workout makes the time go by faster. And yeah, I just push the buttons although when I am going all out on the treadmill, it's hard sometimes.
