ppl that do 3 days splits..like myself
Mon: biceps, triceps, shoulders Tues: OFF Wed: Legs Thurs: OFF Fri: Back and chest Sat: OFF Sun: OFF Is that enough workin body parts only 3 times a week? I know a 3 split routine gives the muscle optimum time to recover but is that too much recovery ya think.. I mean not havin the muscles in a warm state.. don't want them to get soggy from havin too much of a break... just curious on yalls thoughts. thx! ![]() |

I think a 3 day split can be good. I don't think you really have to worry about too much rest. I think you will be fine. doing back and chest all in one day does seem alot though.

I went from a 4 day split to a 3 day split and have made better gains. Being in my mid 30`s I find the extra day of rest is really helping in my recovery. Keeping my workouts under an hour and speeding things up a little I am getting great pumps on this split
Mon: Back,Shoulders Tues: off Wed: Legs, Biceps Thur: off Fri: Chest, Triceps ![]() |

Being in my late 30's I find that a 4 day split is too much so I always stick to a 3 day split. My split is like this:
sun- legs, shoulders mon- cardio / abs tue- back / triceps wed-off thur- chest / biceps / abs fri - cardio sat - off |

I used to train 4 days a week for 2 hours each day. I wasn't getting anywhere. I changed to a 3 day split and keep gym time to 1 hour max. Gains are incredible!
Here's my split Monday - Shoulders, chest, tris Wed - Back, bis, forearms Friday - legs |
