    HIIT-increases heart rate throughout day?

    IS doing HIIT supposed to increase your heart rate throughout the day?

    Yes, it will do that.

    However, if you notice a significant increase in your resting HR on a day off, usually taken upon awakening, you are overreaching which can be remedied by a day or 2 off. If you notice a large difference in morning HR, you are overtraining, which would require a little more time off. Of course, you would expect to notice an increase in morning HR if you did HIIT later in the evening the day before.
    If sense were common, everyone would have it.

    Ive read from a few sources that your metabolism remains, "reved up" for much longer post excercise than after doing regular cardio. I would assume it wouldnt take too long for your heart rate to return to normal.

    It's only a couple beats, not anything you would really notice. Even if you took a 15 second pulse you wouldn't notice it.

    the purpose of HIIT cardio is not to elevate the resting heart rate but to increase the resting metabolic rate, there is a big difference. bascially HIIT cardio increases your V02Max which increases excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) which is commonly referred to as the "afterburn" effect.
    I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    Yeah, that was my first answer, yours is better though.
