I love it... When I'm at school, I just look forward to getting out and going to the gym on my training days. I wish getting the body I wanted only required lifting and not dieting... I'd have no problems at all then.
I just naturally don't eat a lot, I have to charge my mind with eating all day and almost become obsessed about it to eat a lot and eat clean. I just love the way lifting makes you feel. |

I'm somewhere between 1 and 2. I do conciously think of lifting every day, and I usually prioritize it very highly. I will never give it up, however, I don't doubt that there will be a troubled time in my life when I have to take it down a notch.

My life is always "troubled times" and I find lifting the most therapuetic activity I can do...there was one time I went in the gym in the absolute most depressed state and there were people using all the equipment I needed....so I turned right back around and left.. Back to the topic...I think/worry about my lifting and diet ALL the time...I even get made fun of at work...(funny, cuz I'm bigger and stronger than ANYONE at my job, not that that says a whole lot) I constantly worry if there's anything more that I can do to further my progress...am I on the right program, did I eat enough today, did I eat too much etc etc..it's enough to drive a person mad... |

I love it because there's nothing better than the natural high you get when a really good pump gets going. Even when it's natural, you leave the gym, and even if you're not very big, you feel big..........

I love lifting.
Lifting is why i care. I never before used to worry about anything, i would just let everything slide school, chores, my body. Lifting no bodybuilding(lifting is what those guys who weight lift for chest and arms 7 times a week do going through the motions) is what made what i am i try my best in everything i always thin positive, hey shit i just lost my leg oh well at least i can join a wheel chair basketball league now. I realized through bodybuilding that i could change anything about me easily. All you need to do is put your mind to it. Thats just me but then again to be fair and honest i love doing ass to grass squats and dead lifts. |

Now lifting isn't like when I first started, now lifting is not an option anymore, it's a priority.

I love it. It's scary getting obsessed with things, but i love the way it makes me feel, having accomplished something after every workout, having the drive and the energy to do weight training is something i admire in everybody associated with it.
Not everybody could handle it. I feel proud every single time i do a rep. < /epic > |

I used to absolutely hate the gym a couple of years ago, I love it now that I am doing more than just lifting weights.

GET BIG or DIE TRYING!
I'm 53 and just getting serious about strength training. At times it really hurts the joints. I have set goals and must reach them. People like Clarence Bass make me realize that hypertrophy and fitness aren't just for younger people. It's hard to getting motivated but after I'm done I feel and see the benefits. I get pissed if I skip it and I don't stay on track. I think my family thinks I've gone crazy. I will crush them! Ha! The mods and contributors to this board have helped and inspire me to keep at it. Besides the sick, demented, perverted, overtly sexual, mindless, self absorbed, comments posted here. I love it! Keep it up, Please!!! ![]() |

I enjoy lifting, but with a wife and 4 kids, it takes a back seat sometimes. Having a home gym keeps that from happening too often though. Even if I can't do a full blown workout, I can at least 2 or 3 sets of a couple of moves.
