Go New
After 3 years of selling treadmills in retail, my opinion and the smarter choice would be to consider your warranty.
Old Treadmills breakdown frequently and need constant service and repair. Not to say new ones dont either because odds are theyre just at risk too. If your willing to spend the bucks, look for a treadmill with a continue HP motor. Continuios Horse Power is when the motor turns the treadmill constantly at the same rate. Non-continuios motors turn the treadmill in different bursts and uneven rates of spin. Continuois motors are top of the line retail and are roughly $2000-$4000 canadian. The ones in commercial gyms are continuois motors as well except they come with more bells and whistles. Those puppies run up to $6000-8000. IF your gonna buy used, be prepared to have it breakdown and you search for parts which dont exist anymore. WARRANTY is the only way to go with a purchase expensive as that. |

Not to mention that lifetime pass to a gym gets you an eliptical machine, stationary bike, stair climber, free weights, pools, steam rooms, and an all the other types of garbage.

You could buy a brand new jump rope for $25. Jumping rope burns about the same calories as jogging.
