    Callous on my hands

Hey guys, been working out for close to 1 month. I've noticed that on my hands im getting these callous looking things especially from lifting dumbells and the bar. It hurts sometimes when I lift older equipment which feels like its peeling into my skin. Will getting gloves solve this problem of callouses under my fingers?

gloves will really help, but if you have never used your hands in that way then you bound to get some calics

This bugs me too. I've got some HARDCORE calouses going on just before my first 3 fingers... but even though I have gloves... I've gotten to where I really like feeling the bars with my bare hands.... so I guess I'm stuck with the calouses for now.

I had callouses before I EVER hit the gym, havent gotten another blister or callouse since I started lifting. Your hands should naturally toughen up over time, but if you had NO callouses to begin with and then suddenly start lifting heavy deadlifts without gloves then you will see a noticeable difference in a hurry. LIve with them and let them toughen up naturally or wear gloves to protect your perty hands.

I used to get callouses when i used to lift with out anything. Then i changed to using sponges. Kitchen type sponges, the yellow on one side and green on the other.... yes go ahead and laugh. But they greatly prevented the problem from getting worse and actually the callouses reduced.

I used to get them bad, but don't anymore. I think it is cuz I use moisturizing shower gel or something. Or maybe since I masturbate so much my body figured it should stop forming callouses or else another area may become inflammed. A much more important area.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.
