What do you do for grip work? I hold as much weight on a barbell as can for 10 seconds. I know deadlifts work it, but my grip is much stronger than the weight I use for deadlifts. Is holding heavy weight enough to work it?

Grip work is something that comes with time. The more you workout and the more WORK you do with your hands your grip will get stronger naturally. Some guys on here forget that we ALL had a starting point and that when your just starting (so to speak) there are MORE things to "worry" about...after a while you wont even think about your grip strenght, it will just be there.
i like training grip.
Captains of Crush grippers for reps or static holds.
weighted dead hangs
static BB holds
quare beam pull ups
ring out wet towles
pinch plates
anything from ironmind.com
plate pinch flips (I just started doing those.....love 'em)
pull ups with a towel or two or three wrapped around the bar
pull ups hanging from a towel hanging off a bar

I used to just hold weight on a barbell for 30 seconds and do that maybe twice or thrice. Then my forearms started bruising while I was doing deadlifts, and I kind of figured that would be enough.
