I moved this here since it is better suited under training.

I used to think that doing shitloads of cardio was the answer for a cut....Im now following some very smart people's advice and have started to cut but have added no cardio yet, only 10 mins w/u every w/o. Only tweaking my diet has done wonders as I worked hard enough to bulk N' hope to retain as much muscle as possible. I plan to incorporate HIIT 2-3 X /week at first when my fat loss plateaus.

I used to do HIIT 5 times/week during a cut and never had the results Im seeing now! Go figure!

I am doing a minimum of 30 minutes cardio daily. Depending on how tired I am...sometimes I do 45-60 minutes - especially on training off days.

I'd also be interested to see what 'diet tweaking' you did, crazy. I'm also trying to cut without losing those oh-so-important gains.

cardio seems to be the new thing for me, I've done in before, but never really in moderation (I ended up losing my gains).

Right now, what I'm trying is cardio afterowrkouts for about 10-15 minutes, 3-4 times a week.

well, My cals were fairly high 3500-4k (high for me) and I was having carbs throught the day...Ive made very minor changes, of course lowering cals slowly, very gradually, keeping carbs high in the AM (especially pre and post w/o) but very low in the PM and non existant at nite, added fiber to my last protein/fat meal to slow down digestion even more...I used to eat a lot more yogurt and fruit also...Ive also reduced my dairy intake. Simple things really!

right now I'm doing a lot of cardio only because I don't want to lower my cals anymore since I'm right around 3,200. I do about 8-10 hours of cardio a week
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
