I grow those "feel you up" apples at my house. You'll have to cum on over and get you some.

According to the GI list from www.mendosa.com the "supposed GURU" for Glycemic Index, apples are ranked among the lowest for fruits.

Ok y'all,...I know you're going to laugh (please not too hard though) but can one of you break down the process of GI and the whole "white bread" portion of it all. Also, (I know I'm asking alot, but heck..it can't kill me to ask) The book I'm studying right now says this; "It is believed that the three amino acids (BCAA's) are taken up into the tissue and used in the creation of cellular enzymes (catalysts) for energy production and to promote the sparing of nitrogen in muscle cells" Can anyone translate that into plain english?

BCAAs make up about 35 % of the amino acid content of muscle tissue and are used for energy. When you exercise, you use a high amount of the BCAAs to maintain nitrogen balance. A positive nitrogen balance indicates possible growth in body tissues. A negative balance indicates inadequate protein intake and the possibility that the body is eating it's own muscle tissue.

Supplementing w/ BCAAs compensates for the BCAAs used for energy, promotes muscle growth and restores nitrogen balance. Leucine (one of the BCAAs) also releases growth hormone & insulin.

Does that help at all?

yes, but I have another one of those questions (I really wished I would've paid more attention in health class now!) Can't you just supplement the nitrogen rather than the BCAA's or am I completely taking this out of context? I've heard of supplementing Amino Acids, but I was always told that it's used mainly to bulk up.
