    Question hurt trapezius during squats.....

how??? i was doing hack squats and when i got done doing them my right trapezius went wack... like right where it connects to the shoulder blade. its either cramping bad or pulled. im on M1T atm so im led to believe that it may be cramped, but regardless, i dont understand how it happened in the first place.

what could have caused it, and what can i do to not have that happen again? it hurts to turn my head to the right or to look down....

it could have been caused because on the hack the weight rest directly on your shoulders, unlike a regular squat where it rests on your lower traps.
