    Running the rack...

Any of you guys like to run the rack. I do it every 3rd or 4th week and it really seems to help out when im reaching a plateau in my workouts, Just wondering if anyone else uses this method.

Running the rack is where you take an amount of weight you think you can only do a few times and put that on the bar, whether that be ez curl for bicep day or bench for chest day whatever, and you do as many reps as you can at the top weight, take 5 pounds off do as many as you can, take 5 pounds off do as many as you can until you make your way down to the bar only, this really kills the muscles when you need to shock the muscles.

I used to do that back in high school with the football guys. They all uses to do those crazy exercises. Put like 50lbs on the e-z curl bar. Do like 10 reps and work your way down to 1 while decreasing in weight. If that makes any sense.

How much of a break do you take between sets? Just enough to lower the weight?

actually i would consider a reversve pyramid as one set at your max, then rest, then next set lower wweight but more reps, then rest, then next set lower weight more reps, and so on,

where strippiing or dropset no rest in between taking off weight

Running the Rack sounds more like dumbell, not barbell or EZ - thats just a regular dropset.

If I dropped 5 pounds I'd be lucky to squeeze a rep with no rest.

You can rest in between your sets, i rest about 45 secs, I first started doin it because in Triple HHH's book he mentions it and calls it running the rack, hence thats where i got it from.
