    my new training program

    hi

I have decided i need to loose weight before i start putting musel on. My chest started to get bigger as well as arms and shoulders. It looked good and i was pretty impressed with myself. The only problem was, my belly still looked bigger than my chest which made me look like a have a flabby chest under a shirt.

Two weeks ago, i changed my work out to.

    Monday, Wed, Friday -

    Tredmill run for 30min @ 10km (burning off approx 500cals). Adverage HR 168 - 170
Cross trainer (I think its called that) for 35min (burning off approx 600cals). Adverage HR 170 - 180

That approx 1,100 cals in one night.

Is this too much?. I want to loose weight and so far I have not lost any in two weeks. Once i have lost weight, I want to tone up.

    My stats are

    5ft 11"
    25 years old
    173lbs

Is there an artical on the web that shows me how many cals are in food?. This would be ideal. I would try and ear 2,000 cals a day.

Also, after a while of working out, i get slight pins and needles in my right foot. Any ideas?.

    Thanks

    James

You should definately go over to the diet and nutrition forum. As for training, you are overdoing it. You should look into max-ot cardio. Burning that many calories at a time will most likely cause your body to become catabolic.

3 weeks in my new program...

To whoever that can help me,
Ive been on Anthony Ellis's program for 3 weeks now, and i have a question about doing curls when your trying to gain mass.

The last couple weeks ive been doing basic curls with dumbbells...and my left arm (weaker) can fatigue within 8 reps while my right arm(stronger) can do a lot more. So ive just been doing as much as i can with my left arm(to fatigue within 8 reps), and just matching it with my right arm, eventhough i know i can do more with my right arm. Now, i see results, my biceps i feel are getting thicker, but i dont want to be so imbalanced between my arms.

So today, i worked out, and when i got to curls, i decided to instead go with an EZ bar, and NOT dumbbells.

So my question is i guess, what is a great way to even out the strength of my biceps? Because i dont want to feel like i just exhausted my left arm, and didnt do enough with my right. Or is that just the way it is, because im right handed?

I think by burning that many calories in that time youll burn up alot of muscle aswel as fat. Asfor calories in food i think its 4 calories in every 1 gram of protein and the same for carbohydrates and then 9 calories in every 1 gram of fat.

When your body bocomes catabolic, you are burning muscle fiber as well as fat for energy.
