I don't know. I have that one at my gym as well. I have scoliosis and Patrick suggested for me to use that rather than a reg leg press for back safety![]()

I used to use the vertical leg press machine at my old gym and have thought about adding one to my home gym my only concern is the pressure it puts on the back have the benches been designed any differently than the flat one my gym had?
I used to put a towel under my butt to spread the pressure more evenly across my back and when I look at pictures of them online they seem to have an elevated front and back now. Has anyone used the newer ones, is the pressure spread out more evenly?

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

Well that's great news, looks like I'll be adding something to my gym soon. I'll be able to use it for calf raises too so that's another add benefit.

Wow..it may be safer but it sure LOOKS more dangerous.
I am sure that my gym will add some new equipment like this right about the time hell freezes over. He won't even change the light bulbs.
