Well, I do not do it anymore now that I am older and wiser, but the signs I would look for are lack of pumps, fatigue, frequent injuries, illness, and plain lack of desire to go to the gym.
when does one know if he is overtraining??

There are alot of symptoms to look for, but personally, when I have a difficult time getting to sleep at night and/or I get irritated by minor things very easily, I know I'm overtrained.

man, I would have to be at the gym like ten hours a day before I would lack desire to go... going to the gym is the only thing that keeps me from going crazy
i knew i was overtraining when my whole right side from the legs up began to shake and i got this kinda "vibrating" feeling when i wasnt moving my arm

Good things come to those who WEIGHT !
hmm i do have that weird feeling of not wanting to go to the gym.. but i think its from time constraints and not from over training.. what to do in overtraiing situations?? Just lay off?
No Pain, No Gain
Same for me, I can always tell cause I just don't sleep well. Its not because my muscles are sore, I think its more like my whole nervous system is sick.Originally posted by ballast

The lesson is: never love anything.
Even you?
Especially me.
I'm more of a well wisher- in that I don't wish you any specific harm.

I was that way when I was young, but as age creeps up on you that desire starts to weaken.Originally posted by Chalcedony

My legs feel like they have weights attached to them. Very heavy feeling. Sleeping at night comes in short bouts instead of a good 8 hours straight.
Another Set Now!!
