    cardio before or after lifting?

When is the best time to do cardio before i lift or after lifting? I have heard that afterwards is the best because you use all the glycogen in your muscles lifting then when you do cardio your body burns more fat...is this true? I perfer to do it afterwards because i feel that i get a better lift that way.

Don't forget to do 5-10 minutes before lifting to warm-up though. However, the actual cardio session should definitely be performed after lifting, or preferably on a day when you don't lift.

I do Cardio totally seperate from my lifting. Typically I'll do Cardio in the AM (on an empty stomach) and then lift later in the evening.

If I had to combine the two I would definately do cardio afterwards.

Hope you're at least taking in some BCAA's before that empty stomach cardio.

Oh yes, I'll pop a pill and a couple of fish caps prior to my 1-hour cardio burn. I just don't eat a meal prior. I just wake up, take my supps and head out to the Stairmaster (or whatever exercise suits me that day).

I usually eat some whole grain cereal (Kashi) or some rolled oats when I get back.
