    Separation of shoulders/back and arms workouts

    Ever since I've started working out (roughly 8 months ago), I've been doing complete upper body in one workout, then complete lower body in another workout.

    I want to separate my upper body workouts into two different workouts; hit arms one day then hit shoulders and back the next day. The only problem is I'm unfamiliar with what specific exercises train what part. I'd have a hard time finding enough exercises for arms (or shoulders/back) to feel like I've done a complete workout; I feel as though if I were to separate the two right now, I'd have workouts of maybe half an hour or 45 minutes.

    Something that would be extremely helpful aside from advice would be a site that shows pictures of exercises depicting what type of exercises hit what parts. And another thing; I'm not very good at naming/differentiating the different types of freeweights, like dumbbells, barbells, etc.

    your upper body is composed of more than arms, shoulders and back

    the basic BB'er view of upper body is as follows,

    back
    chest
    traps
    shoulders
    arms

    i think that should be the correct size order too, largest to smallest. if you want to keep an upper/lower type split you can do push/pull/legs.

    push=chest, shoulders(front, side), tri's
    pull=back, traps, bi's, rear delts
    legs=legs, lol
