thats probably the best thing for her id say. having her workout with you on the same exercises will get her a good idea of how to go about things and make her more comfortable with it![]()
My friend, who is a slightly overweight female, has asked me to create a routine for her for going to the gym. Her goal is to lose weight. Do you think it would be okay to put her on my current four day split, so she can do the exercises along with me, which is listed below?
Chest/shoulders - Cardio
Back/traps
Off - Cardio
Legs
Triceps/Biceps/Abs

yea, it would be great if she had a training partner to show her the ropes right off the bat.

looks good but I'd concentrate on back as she doesn't need to train traps (as a woman)
She can do the same things that you are doing. so yeah have her do the same routine. the only difference is the lower weight.

I work out with my wife and we do basically the same excercises but she goes lighter and will do more reps. On leg day she spends more time on inner and outer thigh excercises while Im doing heavy deadlifts/sqats. She does squats and deads with me too, but with the differences in weight we do them seperate for times sake. The workout you posted sounds great (pretty close to what my wife and I do).
Thanks for the comments everyone.
I wasn't aware of this, thanks. I guess I will just cut out the shrugs for her on back day.looks good but I'd concentrate on back as she doesn't need to train traps (as a woman)
ya no need for big traps, but everything seems solid...good idea to have her train along side with you..so you can show her proper form and all that fun stuff..and she will have encouragement to keep with it.
