Roberts "10 Things You Must Do to Gain Mass!"

I see where he stated "you should only be able to do 4-8 reps."

I have only been lifting about 6 weeks or so but I think my reps are all wrong.

I should move my weight up to the point where I can do 4-8 reps 3X on free weight and barbells.

I have been doing 12 reps 3X and I probably not pushing the muscle to failure.

well the last 2 weeks I have cleaned up my diet trying to lose 30 pounds.. on a given day this is what I eat..

    420 calories 2 servings YOGART
375 calories 3 servings PROTIEN SHAKE
660 calories 2 sandwich PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH (ON WHEAT)
217 calories 1 serving CHICKEN BREAST
300 calories 1 serving OAT MEAL 1 CUP
180 calories 5 eggs 3 EGGS WHITES 2 WHOLE EGGS
170 calories 1 can TUNA FISH 6 OZ
    Or
258 calories 1 serving GRILLED FISH 8 OZ

I don't have any stats.. I been lifting and adding as I go. I want to get down to 5"8 and around 195 and start building mass.. I know it will take me a while to get where I want.. but I do a quite intensive workout 45 minutes 3 times a week with cardio 3 to 5 times a week.

I dont even like 10 reps on some movements, but my rep ranges depend on the bodypart and movement.
