    Started bicep/tricep workouts...pains

I've started to separate my upper body workout into separate, smaller workouts targetting specific areas. Yesterday was the first day I did this and I worked solely on biceps and triceps. The night after the workout, my back is sore to the touch; the outer edges of my ribs.

I know being sore after a workout shows you're actually working hard...but if I worked my biceps and triceps, why would my back and outer ribcage be sore?

    They are supporting muscles.

Yea your fine. Thats a good feeling if you ask me. It just shows that your body was firing the secondary muscles. Wait till you actually hit soley the back on a particular day. You should check out peoples routines on the board. Most people dont even have to do direct arm work because the biceps and triceps get hit as secondaries. You should do back and bis together then chest and tris together on seperate days.

Is it okay to hit my arms again while they're still sore? It's been two days and I can still feel them. If not I'll probably just do back and a little bit of biceps today.
