Arn't UV rays the ones that give you cancer?? If so, can't you get something to block them out only and get tan with no side effects?

i paid $40 bucks for 10 visits. I've already done it 4 times in 2 weeks. I have 6 left so i'm basically just tanning for the upcoming summer and this is also my first time ever. I just wanted to see how i would look when tan and i sure love it!
By the way, i fell asleep for a quick 45 secs-1 min today while in that bed. Damn it was hot.

seems kinda steep...i got a month pass for like $30(my first time too) got it like 3 months back to try and get a head start on the sun...but the weather in southern cali. has been weird ass hell..not its usual all sun all the time, lol....ive fallen asleep to..damn its relaxing in those things.. There are UVA and UVB rays. UV rays can cause skin cancer. You can wear sunscreen but when you tan, it means the sun has reached the skin and caused a reaction with the melanin in your body--therefore still exposing you to potentially hazardous rays. You can't tan via the sun and not risk cancer, no.

Ya, the tanning bed i go to at my local gym is old and not as powerful as the salon which is why it's cheap but it's still good.I paid $149 for 10 visits!!!!!!! But they are powerful beds.
