    Cardio Excersizes

well my cardio excersizes are pretty much short distance sprints and long distance runs. i've lost almost 25 Lbs since the end of march. but i still have a more way to go. but all this running is super difficult oh my knees and shins, very bad on my shins. i've lost a good amount of body fat but i have a lot more to go. i was 200 now im down to like 177 and its not going down as easily. what other cardio excersizes can i do to help with the loss thats not as hard on my knees and shins.

If you want to run and your shins hurt, you likely have shin splints. Common causes are bad form and improper footwear not giving enough support.

If all you want is cardio, try the elliptical or bike to take the pressure off of your shins. If you want to run then take a look at your gait and buy shoes with more support.

If you have flat feet then you should have the appropriate shoes or orthotics to correct the problem. You're probably running in cross training shoes.

I never knew how much proper footwear made a difference until I got hurt. Then it was worth the investment just to be able to run again.
