We had one guy and one guy only like that at my gym, a former world class shotputter. Unfortunately he is gone now, so motivation is a bit dry. When I say like that, I believe he was deadlifting high 700s so he was at least way beyond most mortals

Gregg Tafralis, he was floating just under an 800 bench/dead, and was squatting high 800s from what I heard and read. The monolift and all boards dissapeared when he left.

Or maybe just tired, I do that after leg stuff and its just sheer taxation. I do get lightheaded sometimes though, my blood sugar is all over the place on leg days. I am lucky to stay above 80, and I dont do that much volume.

So you actually check it during the day?

Not really, depends how I feel. I'm not a diabetic so its pretty rare that I do check it, but leg workouts BLITZ me to hell and I do very low volume and take long rest periods between sets.

My back workouts are tough too and I dont do really crazy volume there, but I push hard. It is much easier on me now that I dont go to failure near every set though. I scale the weights up and try to keep it to 1-2 all out sets per movement. I start to feel normal around 90 points or so, but I have left the gym many times feeling ill after legs. There is no way I can stick around to do calves on a leg day, so I do calves another day of the week.

Leg presses are harder on me that squats it seems, but maybe that is just because I can push harder AND I do a lot more reps. I can't fit enough weight on the leg press to do low reps.
