    mass with bodyweight?

I've got a friend who's pretty muscular and he says that he got that way:
    1) swimming
2)tons of abs, push-ups, pullups, and so on and so on with the bodyweight

So.... is this possible for me or does he just have good genetics? (I've seen his dad, he's not very muscular) If it is possible, how long do you think it would take? The reason I would prefer bodyweight is because of my plans for the military.

One of two things: He has good genetics OR he is a good liar.

I got a pretty good chest when I did just pushups, but since I started benching, I got better results.

you can only gain but some much LBM with bodyweigt only exercises. eventually gains will stop unless resistance training is added to the exercise program
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
