you need to lower your overrall Body fat...Spot training is a myth you can't burn fat in one discreet area, you probably have a 6 pack just not visible at your current BF%, everyone is diff in what level theirs is visible.

I personally do not have a problem with my body fat% and dont really do much else besides lift hard, but yea if you want the beach body for the summer i would do high reps in your workouts and involve some cardio at least 3 nights a week and lower your calorie intake.

I say fuck high reps. Build muscle, it takes more calories to maintain it. Get your diet in order, add a little cardio and you'll get them abs.

DITTO. Gahhh, why do people find high reps useful when trying to get lean. I think that is the biggest load of crap. Lifting heavy builds muscle. Diet and cardio burns fat. Do both and have good abs... do high reps and get nowhere fast.

High reps do burn more calories while you're working out, but that's that. "Diet and cardio burns fat," in the most general sense, well said!

High reps will not lower your body fat or tone you...

Lift in the rep range that best works for you to build muscle. The high rep shit is useless.

What I am saying is keep lifting. Lift heavy always, whether bulking or cutting, because THAT is what makes LIFTING do it's job. You lift to get bigger and stronger, and you do that by LIFTING HEAVY.

Since you are cutting, you can adjust your diet and/or add cardio as necessary to burn fat and expose your muscles better, but there is no reason to start doing high reps in your lifting. Using lifting to burn fat by doing high reps makes the lifting useless for muscle, and simply a VERY inefficient excuse for cardio.

I could be wrong on this but don't you need to have under 10% bf to even show abs. Get your bf tested.

I have the line if that is what ur asking, but it's fading as I gain weight. It'll come back in a couple months when I cut. You REALLY need to figure out your diet EXACTLY tho to make good progress with body fat. I'd say do that before cardio even.

I actually agree with the rep thing, i've never had a problem looking lean so I've always done low reps trying to get bigger...Listen to what they said it is true the bigger your muscles get the more calories you will burn even when you sleep, I was just thinking more about the calories you burn in one day I guess.

Well really though, short duration - high intensity cardio will spike your metabolism ALOT through the day and burn far more than would high reps while lifting. So if you are doing high reps you are losing the critical mass-building potential of lifting, just so that you can raise your metabolism more... but still not as much as high intensity cardio.
