I workout by myself in the basement and love it, I never get bored. I use to have the same problem when I was around 11 trying to workout and never could really cuz I would get lonly and stuff. Just have to be devoted enough.

I think you have to enjoy lifting to do it. If I hated lifting I would of quit before now. Sometimes I do not feel like going to the gym, but once I get there and get moving I enjoy it. I wish I could workout in my basement (mine is a family room). I hate waiting on the old guy to move and stop talking so I can use the equipment.

Put a tv down in your basement. I used to do that until I moved out of my parents place.

I work out in my basement alone, too. I agree that music is a huge part. If you listen to music that you like and that gets you pumped, it helps a lot more than you might think.

First set up some goals and write them down. Next, develop a plan to achive those goals. Lastly - execute the plan, evaluate and do it again!!

    Good luck!

just crank the music step into your basement, start going through your workout and when you start you wont want to stop..just push yourself to go down there and workout...the hardest part if your not modivated is just getting there, once your in its cake!

One sign of over training is lack of desire to train. You might need a break or just a change of pace. After years of weights I hated going to the gym so I took off 6 months and started boxing. It felt great to do something different .

Just look at yourself in the mirror, and if you don't like what you see, maybe that will be motivation enough.
