I know people who use various bands, if you powerlift they have a purpose. Some people do face pulls with JUST bands, some people add them in to glue/ham raises, deads, benches, squats - you name it. Most people suggest you dont use bands every week, or at least high amounts of band tension every week.

I haven't used any yet, one of these days perhaps.

I have the Mini's, I ordered them a couple months ago. Only problem is, I don't know how the hell to use them. I tried wrapping them around a dumbell but the bands were too loose. I don't know what to do, as they don't come with instructions. When someone asks me how to use them, I just read off the card I have in my wallet: "I'm stupid, I'm sorry, I will try harder next time..."

They are good for chics who want to act like they are working out. They are also good for warming up before a sport game. Terrell Owens uses them to warm up for his games.

You guys act as if there are all weak bands, there are bands with roughly 200# peak tension each. Westsiders use bands heavily, so I'd be curious how many of you guys are squatting over 1000 without the use of bands, chains, boxes or other special techniques.

i have used bands before (not those ones, the ones from jumpstretch.com). I like squatting with bands. the tension at lock out is killer.

Exactly. I was reading the posts putting down bands and saying there for women and I'm thinking WTF??? If I get into a powerlifting phase again I'll definately pick up some bands, I think they're a powerful asset.

yea, they are great. i use them for resistance for reverse hypers off the side of a bench. I step on one end and loop myself through it and rest it on my traps and do good mornings with them. they are great for stretching. people don't know what they are talking about.

I must be thinking of something different. The ones I see are very thin and look like I could snap them. They sell them at wal-mart and sports authority.

Reverse band lifting (making it harder at lock out, easier at the bottom)

Bands and grippers that you would find at Walmart and places like that pretty much suck. Check www.elitefts.com for color coded bands of various tensions.

I thought Guns N Roses was pretty good, Megadeth was pretty good in their day too, but Maiden is my favorite.
