    Symetrical Body!!!

I see these guys my age at the gym (18-19yrs) who just train Chest and Arms. Like on Sunday i was training Legs with my cousin, and this other guy was training his arms but that's all he had and my cousin not being to into the whole Bodybuilding scene thought he looked big. Now, me being an Amateur bodybuilder i love the symetrical look, and i was just wondering who here goes after the look for the ladies and just works out thier Chest&Arms or who here goes for the bodybuilder look cause the name of the game is BOD_E_BILD_EENG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your building your BODY not your arms

I like to look balanced and in proportion, but trying to achieve perfect symmetry between both sides of your body is really difficult since muscle shape is very difficult to change. I know guys that only bench press. Their shoulders are like boulders, but their backs are scrawny. There are other guys that don't touch their legs. You could knock one of these people over with a gentle shove.

I don't think you can look symmetrical if you don't work you entire body.

People that only work upper body look like a lightbulb!

I go for the whole package as well, your body will only grow out of proportion so far anyway and then it'll just stop because your other parts are so far behind so whats the point of just ecercising the "show off" muscles.
    Cool

I also work my entire body. In fact, when I started training I was 'leg strong' from years of biking and my upper body was way underdeveloped by comparison.

Now that I'm starting to catch up, I really have the upper hand over the MANY people in the gym that neglect their legs.

No one is perfectly symmetrical, left and right sides vary around 1/2 inch.

Symmmetry is often much more important to competitors than recreational lifters. Many guys just want "beach" muscles like abs, chest, and arms...yes, to impress the ladies...or men, if thats the way you swing...

I myself have always strived for the best symmmetry, proportion, and "aesthetics" possible...but again, I have been a competitor for over 10 years.

I think doing Dumbells part of the time rather than just Barbell all the time would eliminate the uneveness a little!

I think someone who has a large upper body and skinny legs looks stupid......(no cutting down anyone here). If you do squats regulary, that is one of the best exercises for the whole body...using tons of muscles! And if your legs looks big, the rest of you does too!

you know what's so funny, I've actually seen gentlemen that look like lightbulbs. There was this one guy who was HUGE in his upper body. In clothes this did look attractive I'll admit. But this one time, I saw him with shorts and he looked absolutely ridiculous. I mean I almost couldn't stifle my laugh to his face. so symmetry is very important, just to look normal really.

I've started to do leg work-outs . But maybe i started not for the best reason . I started it to burn more calories , to loose weight/fat. Symmerty I work on by doing the odd 2 or 3 extra reps on my weaker side (left). My son is always pointing out that this side is bigger than the other.
