    Question about height

Sorry if this was brought up before, i tried to search but i got no answers.

Does being tall have any effect of how your muscles grow. Like today when i was in the gym, i just looked at myself in the mirror to see if i was progressing at all. I am happy with the way i am gaining in size, but i also noticed that i was taller than i actually feel like i am. (i am 6'1 1/2). Also looking around the gym, i see other guys who are taller (6'2 - 6'5) and some of them are incredibly strong. However, they look skinny which is a concern for me. Am i ever going to be able to reach my potential of having a full physique that i desire such as this guy for example..(below)

I am not looking to be super huge like arnold. I just want a well-rounded physique similar to the guy in the photo but will i ever reach that goal since i have heard it takes longer for people who are tall and is easier for short people because they are stockier and develop big muscles faster. I do not plan on using steroids ever and i eat a clean diet and train hard. I know i have only been lifting for 3 months and im 19 years old, but i wanted some feedback about whether or not height plays a role.

yes, if your taller your muscle bellies are generally longer so they require more mass to look like they do on a guy with smaller muscle bellies.

The advantage of being tall is that you have the potential to stack a lot more mass on your frame than a smaller guy. In other words your genetic potential mass is greater.

Yes, how big were you before you started working out? Generally, the bigger you are before you start the easier it is for you to get bigger. There are execptions of course.

A shorter guy might need 20 pounds, that would require 30 to look the same on a taller guy. That is the problem, I'm 6'2" and I imagine Ferrigno ate quite a bit of damn food to get up past 300.

Unless you look muscular, you'd need a muscle biopsy.

Yeah, they should really give these forums a look before calling out members that are highly experienced and respected. Sure, I bring up points that I'm confused about or things that I've heard that contradict what they say, but never disrespectfully. Some people just need good, old-fashioned manners.
