    Pull Ups

I can curl alot of weight for many reps and I can't do those under-hand pull ups that use your biceps; I do keep my back striaght for all those people who will say "you probally don't keep you back striaght". I do 75lbs for 6 reps very slowly using ez-curl bar and I can't do any pull-ups.. Why is this?

because your back is weak probably. Plus, to be good at pull ups you need to practice doing pull ups. A curl is not a pull up.

Just keep trying to do them. It will take awhile before you can do one. Once you get one then they will start coming. I promise. Just try to get one.

well that is a start. now just keep working on it.

When i was younger and couldn't do any I would do things like pick a number, say 20. I would do as many sets until I got to 20. Even if that meant doint 20 sets of singles. I would do it. Eventually I was up to doing chin ups with 75lbs hanging from my waist at a BW of 193lbs. You will get there. Keep at it and be patient.

I can spider curl 90+ pounds but I can't do one pull up. Actually I think it's my biceps that lag, but that's besides the point. It could also be because I'm like 220...

Being a girl I can relate to the pullup issue. Start with assisted pullups if possible. Practice them every back day and eventually you should work into them quite well. I also find my versa grips (name brand wrist straps) helped tremendously when doing them at first. It made the grip on the bar so easy until I could do quite a few. Your lat strength/bicep strength in ratio to your body weight will be the other determining factor besides practice. It will come to you. Starting at 2 is a beginning like Pfunk said. G'luck.

    Just what "they" said...

    Looking at your STATS...

When I shipped to boot camp I was
    19 - 5'11 - 127lbs

The 2nd week... The "Drills" had us doing chins to earn our Chow...
There was literally chinup bars welded in front of all the entranceways to the chow hall

When I started I could do like 5, I think... (I was very hungry)
At the end of 8 weeks I could do like 40-50... (I got dessert!)

With your build it should come easy... The lighter you are, the more reps you'll get... And then you'll have to start adding weight

Have Problems?... Chances are its due to overpopulation
