Doesn't sound like overtraining to me, although it could be a possibility that you gain better on lower volume, who knows.
How does one know if he is overtraining? Some people tell me not to work out the same body part more than one time per week but if i am putting up more weight each time and getting bigger every workout what is so bad about it?

You'll know you're overtraining when you're more tired than usual and can't do the same weights you normally can. It definitely affects your performance and I'm sure you'll notice it. People usually just ask if they're overtraining to avoid it in the first place. So if you start feeling drained and your lifts decline, you're probably overtraining. Otherwise, if Mudge says you're probably not, that's good enough for me.

well how long have you been working out for? because if you have started recently your body will recover quicker and you will see gains if you workout more than once a week but after awhile of lifting usually people have to take more time off.
