At a wall, can't break through
I'm at a stand still in my weight lifting amounts. Seems every time I try to add some, I get sore. Now, not, "sore muscle" good sore, but joint, "man I gotta stop sore" So history first, I'm 47, @ 155/165 lbs. I race off road motorcycles/trials for a hobbie almost every weekned. I've been training in the gym for, oh, 35 years or so, so I'm not a newbie. I read everything I can, watch the "big boys" and learn, always. Historical ,I've lifted heavy Nov-March, (off season), adding cardo taper off the weights in March to this schedule; Sunday -race Monday -nurse sore body, work on bikes Tuesday-Cardo, trials practice Wed-Lift Thurs- race speed off road ride, 2 hours Friday- lift, work on bike Sat- Trials play ride I take a good multi vitaim, glositime, crominien, (sp???) for my joints every day. Whey Protien/creatine every day. 2 years last winter I went on the NO2 plan and followed the book to the "T". I blasted my personal best really added some weight to all my lifting, looked pretty good. I've been able to hold the mass muscle, I added a tad amount of weight to my lifting since them, but nothing to brag about. I wouldn't say I a healthy eater freak, but I limit the bad stuff and try to eat smart. I get 8 plus hours of sleep most nights. I'm not looking to really bulk up, I need the flexibilty to race, but I'd like to continue to add weight to my lifting. I recently started to work at a health center, so I'm lifting 3 day a week now. I also have the use of just about any eqt. I want. I've altered my training over the years, so it's not staleness. I'd like to continue to add weight to my lifting program, but I'm afraid to blow a joint or a tendon out, (man it takes forever to heal, now that I'm older! It'd be a crime to be injured training during race season!!).Any ideas? I've read all the supplements out there and they all claim to be the, "cat meow". Is there any I can add, as I'm just about out of whey and have to make a trip to the store?? Thanks! Joe Me slowed down??? Naaa! I'm as fast as when I was 16! it's just that the world is moving faster! ![]() |
