How is this fat loss plan ?

I use to beleive that pain=gain, so i would eat just enough food where i would feel slightly hungry all the time thinking that the hunger pains would signal my brain to start using fat for fuel.Is this a bad idea ? lol

ran 2-3 miles a day ,5 days /week for 3 months untill my shins started hurting too bad then i had to quit.Lost like 8 lbs. does running not burn a lot of calories or what ?

diet:ate 1600 calories a day, just fruit for a single meal. or small portions of fatt free turkey or spaghetti. was like a low fat-high carb diet

did i not exercize enough ? 2 miles feels like a lot when you get done running it
2 miles in 11 minutes

That is a very bad idea, i think you need to search the diet forum and the beginner forum.

Also running til your shins hurt, and then after is a bad idea too, you risk getting a stress fracture which might be what you got when you had to stop

well thats like putting your hand on the stove... if it hurt why did you keep doing it ...

If its just shin splint you'll be alright, you should ice them and consider seeing a doctor if there is a considerable amount of pain
