how strong am i ?

i can do 950lbs on that machine you sit on and push up at a 45 degree angle with your legs , first set like 12 times.12-10-8. im 5'6 not naturally stong by size.

some people look at all the 45 lb weights there eyes get big. I think to myself
oh yeah i am one bad sucka.

So How much weight would you consider someone doing if they were pretty strong ? i figure at least 50% more weight.

when you run your puttin what 3-4 x your body weight on each leg ?

the leg press is no test of strength, anyone can throw plates on there like its nothing. Once you can throw 30 plates on each side, then you can talk. Get under the squat rack and deadlift and get strong that way! or better yet, do it strongman style, picking up stones and dragging trucks n shit, ya dig! ha ha

most people don't even know how to use the leg press correctly. if they were to perform the exercise the right way a 50% of their working loads would be needed...

you mean they don't have a full ROM and usually just stop halfway down? I see a lot of people barely let their legs touch their chest and instead just drop it like 2 inches below parallel which is nothing.

Post a video of you doing 10 plates on each side FULL ROM for 12 reps, and no rest pause BS. Then maybe you can say you have moderate leg strength.

Ignore a few of the somewhat obnoxious posts and review the actual information given: squats are superior to machine leg presses. Simply do squats instead, post what you can squat, and then you can compare your real strength if you so choose.

Psst: I have a feeling he thought he was really strong and just got his ego blown to pieces. Plus his name is Super Hulk... But who knows...

i dont do squats because im afraid ill injure my back even with a belt.
i just want to know what a fairly srtong weight would be.I estimate on what ive squated before ill say about 700 lbs.

And im not saying i am bad ass strong like a triathlon runner or something.I said
also i should be up to 50% more than what i am doing now.
but it is funny watching someone do squats for the first time whois bigger than me and struggle with a weight i can do easily.(after they get used to it they jump up alot in weight though.)

Ok Hulk I was wondering are you old ( 60+) or have a back injury? If so then I understand why you might be afraid of squats.

i am 30 and i hurt my back doing squats before(back to normal now though)
it was on a squat machine that had a fixed vertical motion bar so you coulnd't
fall forwards or backwards. it just didnt feel natural to use that thing. maybee
i could use a good belt and free weights

He might be telling the truth, I can full squat 1985lbs for 15 reps right now with no belt or knee wraps.

700 would be near unbelievable without specialized strength training, especially raw. But if you were squatting 700 I'd expect to see about a 2000-2200 pound leg press or so, as a guess.

Coleman leg presses over 2500 for reps, and squats a suited 800x2 last I saw. Nowhere near the world record 1275 squat.

Yeah, leg press 950 I would be guessing a back squat of about 300-350. But what do I know?

By the way, if you decide to go back into actual squatting, do it with free weights and no belt. Do less weight that you can properly handle and I'll guarantee you'll be stronger than the guy who does slightly more with the help of a belt.

It's possible that years ago you could have squatted 700 or so, just don't tell me you benched 567lbs raw and natural at a bodyweight of 229.

I love it when the pot calls the kettle black
