Question Shoulder Pain

Last Monday I did the Chest and Triceps day of Power Week (P/RR/S). Just afterwards I developed a bit of pain in my left shoulder (FYI, I'm right-handed).

If you place the palm of your left hand on the back of your head you create a depression between the delts, this is the spot where it hurts. There is no discoloration or swelling. I also have a full range of motion. The pain seems to be a bit less today (Wednesday) as well.

My questions:

  • Is the problem necessarily the rotator cuff? If not, what might it be?
  • How long should I give it before I workout? I'm just looking for a date so I can (mentally) plan for it, I'm not looking for a definitive date.
  • How much should I curtail my training?
Thanks for any info!

The pain from the shoulder can U touch it in the depression Center-of-Delts?
Or does it seem to come from the center of the shoulder I.E, Right on top of the Bone??

Towards the end of the collarbone close to the anterior delt.

Is this area sensitive to the touch?

Have you ever experienced your left hand falling asleep or tingleing after a rough workout, or at the same time as the shoulder pain?

Has the shoulder ever bothered you when doing standing straight-bar curls?

As of this morning, the pain has lessened quite a bit.

BTW, thanks for the help Monkey Man.
