I skipped a day, does that matter?
I usually dp some crunches on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. I didn't do any yesterday (Wednesday) and did them today instead.
Does that matter? Would I have lost any ab muscle??? |

Yup - you're screwed. That ab muscle has already atrophied after 24 hours of neglect. Better do an extra 500-1000 crunches today to make up for it.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do. |

The sad truth is, you might as well quit now. Missing that one day... you probably set yourself back a good 5-10 years. Poor bastard...

Seriousy,it does not matter as you have made up for it but if you miss a workout and do not make up for it your results will suffer. Tere is a 3:1 ratio I think so every time you miss one workout you have to do 3 of the same workouts to get back to were you would be if you had not of missed a workout. But in this you will be fine.

Has anyone heard of rest. Rest helps you recover and grow. If you take a week off you don't have to work out for 3 weeks to catch up. In fact I come back strong after taking a rest week. (I do this once every 3 months or so).

Functional Lifting = Life

Yes, but that's so your CNS can recover. It's not like you could miss workouts for three months and then come back with even more strength than from missing a week.
Really, a skipped workout here and there won't set you back very much. And if you make up for it the very next day, it's really no problem unless you're too sore and you need to move your whole schedule around. I wouldn't be too worried about it, especially if it was abs because they can usually take quite a beating.
Push yourself. Enjoy yourself. Be yourself.

Yes, you're fine - stop stressin' bro'! Fitness and workouts needs to be taken seriously, but you've also got to be realistic! Take a deep breath ... in ... out ... in ... out

Also it`s on this site, http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebit...ningrev5.shtml It might just be a GCSE revision site but all the information is gathered from text books and stuff from tests and studies also I read it in a fitness magazine a while ago,it says "approximatly" aswel so it is not obviously bang on accurate, depends on what your workout is I think.

Worrying like you are about one day out of your life I'd presume you to be overtraining more than undertraining.
