It was for Rocky III he got down to 3%.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

Bruce Lee was at 2% (anything lower than 1% you are probably dead). most of the top Pros today are at 3-6%. I know Arnold at his best was around 3%, you could basicly see veins popping out on his chest, delts, and back.

your body also stores fat near organs and intestines. it has to have it there to protect them

I highly doubt that anyone gets down to 3% BF. Even the pro's. Just because you are lean as hell doesn't mean you are 3% BF. just because the calipers say so doesn't mean you are 3% BF either. They are just measuring skinfolds. There is also viseral fat (organ fat) that needs to be measured there. If you were truely 3% BF there would be virtually no fat around your organs. There is no way you can live like that.

organ fat(also called essential fats) are typically around 2%, I beieve that's low as one can get and not healthy to stay at it for a long time. Basicly anything below 5% is not very healthy.

You need a certain level of fat to survive. People who say they've got 0.0001% bodyfat (no names foreman rules ) is either a dead man walking, or full of shit...basically. I think 8% is a good all-round figure to have. That's what I'm aiming for anyway.

Tom Venuto got down to 3.7 BF but i've read his ebook, and he got down to as low as 3.2% for competition.

http://www.burnthefat.com/ ... look at his picture and the caption below it. This man is the god of nutrition.

hawkins, tom venuto is like the god of dieting and nutrition. If you ever read his book, BFFM (Burn the fat feed the muscle), you will understand why. He went through almost 15-20 years of experiencing and trying things out until he understood how the body works.

Lance Armstrong at one point actually had 0% body fat.
for men its easier to get to 0 then it is for women. but your body will try to do its best to store anyfat it gets when you get under 3

I would like to know how they took that measurement. skin fold testing isn't very accurate below 5%

Well here's the scoop, I asked him what he does for cardio and he sent me this pic. He does seem a bit thin but I guess he was telling the truth when it came to him having low bodyfat.

having a 0% BF is physically impossible. There's no way anyone could get down that low and why would you want to? You would die that way.

The lowest that i believe it can go, is around 2.5-3%

I read that Lance Armstrong was down to 4% after a biking competition which is believable, but please, 0%?

Clarence Bass claimed something like 2.3 or 2.4% I believe.

Below 6%, Dan Duchaine said he only tracked measurements and never attempted to make actual calculations.

Caliper testing is based on a test done on a German cadaver in the 1800s, so its really nothing but an estimate based on one particular subject. You have fat laced through your organs as well as below your skin, so none of these methods are going to be truly perfect, they are just guesses. Generally speaking races store fat somewhat equally through the body, although I have read that some asian peoples have more visceral fat stores.

Yeah the pros now a days may have low body fat.... but they all have HUGE waists... to me, that is not the ideal body. Arnold had the ideal body. Big chest cavity with a very skinny waist. God bless pullovers on chest day.
