3 or 4 day split???

I was just wondering whether working with weights would be more beneficial to muscle gains doing a 3 day split or a 4 day split. I am looking to add some overall mass and was wondering which was better. Also, which muscle groups should I train together on those days (whichever split is better).

Nobody can answer which is better for you...I think it comes down more to what is convenient for you and your schedule as well. For some, a 4-day split isn't possible...or they dont want to be in the gym that much.

As for what to train together, again, this is personal preference and trial and error. See what works for you. I'm partial to Chest/Shoulders, Back/Legs, Arms...all on separate days. I've also done more common splits like Chest/tris, Back/Bis, Legs/Shoulders...obviously add in Abs a few times a week.
