Okay, I've decided to go for a full body routine to give my body a different challenge.
I was thinking of something like this :
2 x squats
2 x bench
2 x deadlifts
2 x military press
2 x rows
I'm just unsure on how to go about periodizing this to keep my body guessing. I like to lift at least 3 days a week so would having a light, moderate, and heavy day be okay?
Now obviously doing that 3 times a week would probably be foolish so if I did something along the lines of this would it be okay?
Monday-(moderate)
2 x 8 squats
2 x 8 bench
2 x 8 deadlift
2 x 8 military press
2 x 8 rows
Wednesday-(light)
2 x 10-12 DB bench press
2 x 10-12 pullups
2 x 10-12 front squats
2 x 10-12 DB shoulder press
Saturday-(heavy)
2 x 4-6 cleans
2 x 4-6 squats
2 x 4-6 bench
2 x 4-6 deadlifts
2 x 4-6 upright rows
Btw, I'm currently on a cut so I figured doing a full body rotuine would burn more cals. Diet's in check also.
I really shouldn't be cutting with football coming up and all, but I would like to get my bf % down a little more for the summer. Come mid July I'll start bulking and hopefully be ready to go.

the program isn't awful. I don;t like to do two major presses like you have though. Something like a bench press one day and then overhead press the next day (instead of the same day) would be better to me. 2-3 sets is fine and a heavy med. and light day are okay too. I would just keep the presses and pulls in check. For example:
day 1
squat
overhead BB press
bent over row
BB curl
shrug
day 2
bench press
deadlift
wg pull up
pull overs
day 3
front squat
dips
SLDL
cable row

Thanks a lot P, I'll give that a try.
Also, could I replace front squats with power cleans? Will be tested come this August so including them is a must.
Another great routine by the Funk Meister..Might even go this a go myself broOriginally Posted by P-funk

As far as periodizing or changing it up what I would do is alternate what rep ranges you are doing on each day every week (or keep the rep ranges for each day the same for 2-3 weeks and then switch them and you can really get some mileage out of the program)....
week 1
day 1- 10-12
day 2- 4-6
day 3- 8
week 2
day 1- 4-6
day 2- 8
day 3- 10-12 (except for power cleans)
week 3
day 1- 8
day 2- 10-12
day 3- 4-6
