    Just Maybe

Just maybe some body's were made to do more training to get them to grow. For 6 months i workout 5 days a week. Then about 3 months ago I tried various 3-4 day splits. Nothing seemed to work for me. i tried to increase the intensity and other different things. I varied my workouts (for Instant) Different exercizes for chest...ie Incl bench one time, Flat bench, Db's.
I know for a lot of you, You seem to grow very well on 3 and 4 day splits. It just doesn't work for me. I guess I'm in that weird group where more might be best.
So starting tom (MON) back to 5 on 2 off and 20-25 sets per training session.
Note Fri is an anything day fro me. This Fri will include the following extra work.

    Heavy partial incl Bench
    Deadlifts
    Squats
    weighted Dips
Bent over laterals for rear delts

    25 sets ?
    100% intensity each ??

IMO, if you dont grow with "normal splits", it is because of one or a combination of these factors :

    -Not enough rest
    -Not enoush intensity
    -Not enough focus, muscle/mind connection
-Not enough food (verrrrry important) and/or quality of food
    -Poor split/program
    God bless

Never said when i go back to 25 sets that it would be high intensity. I'll rest 60-120 sec between sets.
Now I know i don't get enough sleep. I only sleep about 4 hours a day. that's all I've slept in years. As for the rest of your statements there all in good order. I grow but seems like only with high volume. Remember I'm also close to 53 years of age and gear or no gear, I'm not going to grow like you younger folks.
But FYI last year i had 188 lbs of LBM at 280 lbs. I now have 194 lbs of LBM at 235 lbs. So I do work my ass off and probably have a better diet then 90% of the people on this board.
