    Want to isolate the quads.

This is probably the one area I have a bit of trouble working. I do squats, I do hip-sled and leg press (alternating weeks), I do some leg-extensions and NONE of these REALLy work my quads like I would like to. Is there something I need to add to work them better? Maybe my form is "off" a bit...? Any ideas are appreciated. A buddy of mine suggested that maybe my quads are stronger than my glutes and hamstrings (which ALWAYS get worked hard during squats) and that until the other muscles get stronger and catch up I wont be able to work my quads as hard. ?

You obviously didn't see any of Mudges pic's of his quads. I believe he's around 6'2'". Mudge would probably say he doesn't have great genetics but probably just works his ass off on his LEGS. By seeing some of his short movie clips with the weight he uses I can see why he's as big and strong as he is.

Take you some heavy dumbells to a wide open space(heavy enough to have to use straps for the whole time), and start DEEP lunging for 50 yards to start out. If your quads arent exausted... lunge all the way back.

If you dont feel like your gonna puke after that, you are doing something wrong.
    Lift hard, or go home!

Zed : Well, I guess you're gonna have to go wake him up now, won't you?

how often do you stretch ?
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

BiigernStronger:- Front squats will isolate your quads nicely. Make sure to use strict form and I garauntee that it will feel like someone's put the blowtorch to your quads.

    Good day.

Hell I'd need a weight in front of me or I'd fall on my ass doing that!
