I always use about 4-6 seconds on the eccentric portion of all my lifts. no reason to go slow during the concentric portion, pointless...
Do anyone do slow reps? Have u seen any results from doing them?

I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
I do slow reps for biceps, lateral raises, calf raises and lats...Works great.

You don't need to go slow so to speak on reps, just make sure the weight is completely under control at all times. (i go pretty slow on the negative portion myself)
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Super-slow can't do this. Some believe that super slow lifting is beneficial because it is diffucult to perform and painful, it is not the best way to stimulate muscle growth. Super slow lifting accumulates too much lactic acid within your muslces and fatigues them before they reach real momentary muscular failure.

Go slow on the negative. It is the downward motion that inflicts the muscle fibres, and controlled negative motion will encourage the fibres to do more.
when u lift too fast the motion gets too jerky i find

its all about variety. some weeks do superslow negs, other weeks do faster negatives. dont do the same thing all the time.
