    Powerlifting and Hips

When doing westside, the hips are very vital to upping your numbers on squat and deads if I'm correct.

In that case would doing Hip adductors and abbductor exercises be beneficial?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

absolutely mayn, they are vital. Thats why things like box squats are done, sled dragging is fantastic, if your not doin I suggest getting that goin, spread eagle sit ups really focus on the hip flexors. Not sure what type of movements you are thinking of but they defn won't hurt. there are lots of plenty of movements that invlove the hip flexors, most hams movements do.. I can post some specific ones if you want

Thanks Gr81. What I was wondering was if I should use those machines that squeeze your legs together on or pull them apart. As Greeky calls them, good girls and bad girls LOL.

I don't know if you're familiar with jackknife sit ups, but would those also work the hip flexors? I was just curious because that's my main form of ab work as of the moment.
