    LAM, respond to this...

LAM, ive seen you post a lot about your sprinting and how it melts the bodyfat away. i saw you say to do it thrice a week or so, for 15 minutes, 10-15 200 yrd dashes.

anything else to add? how effective is this, how quickly does it begin to take effect? will it burn much muscle, as well? please elaborate on this. thanks a ton.

sprinting is VERY effective at increasing the VO2Max. when training at or near your VO2Max you are working at maximal effort this will improve your VO2Max. the higher your VO2Max the more fat your body will oxodize after training. so during the sprints your body will utilize carbohydratres for energy. and for several hours after sprinting when GH levels are still elevated, the body will utilize fatty acids for energy.

growth hormone has a very anticatabolic effect so it is protein sparing. so no worries about burning muscle with this type of exercise. you should see results in several weeks. this is a very good time to supplement with creatine as ATP is the primary energy source during the first 50m of a sprint.

don't be surprised if you puke doing this...lol
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

There is a soccer field right across the road in the back from my house, 15 seconds away which is about the size of a high school football field. Does anybody know how many meters that is so i can vary the different yardages of sprints. I'm thinking about doing some early morning sprints to cut down some stubborn fat.

"Soccer is played on a rectangular field, traditionally called a pitch, which must be between 100 and 130 yards long and 50 to 100 yards wide."

its kinda dumb that they dont have a standard length like football, but if it doubles as a football field, maybe it will be the same size as a standard football field. either way, a 100-130 yard dash is sufficient.
