...they are so incredibly hard for me to do. I am 6'6" 235 lbs. and can bench press my body weight fairly easily, I can do my body weight in dips X 10, but I can't even come remotely close to doing a pull up without weight help. I have tried the last few weeks to become stronger at doing them, but I can't improve. I usually have to have 120 lbs of weight help in order for me to do a set of 8 reps. I like the way I look, but I seem to have a small back in proportion to the rest of my upper body. Are there any good workouts that will help me increase my back strength and more importantly do one pull up? And do my stats seem right? I always believed if you could do a dip then you should be able to do a pull up.
Thanks for any suggestions or help!!!

im a very similair build to you and had a lot of trouble doing them to. focus on doing assisted wide grip pullups, lat pulldowns, and rows. they will add a lot of pulling powere and help you develope a nice looking back. they brought me to doing pullups. just take time and be sure that when you do assisted pullups, you do a slow eccentric and explosive concentric. it will work wonders. good luck.
