Wrist Problem...
Guys, i have a problem with my left wrist. I think its from benching. When i bend my wrist back it seems as if a small bone is protruding out (right under my palm) as if it is dislocated. My other wrist is not like this at all. Anyone else experience this? I had a little bit of pain a while ago...but there is no pain whatsoever now, it's just that bone sticks out. I realized that it was because i was bending my wrist back to much when benching with a suicide grip...i now use a wrap-around grip and keep my wrist strait. All i'm concerned about is that bone, and will i have any pain in the future?

It could just be a localized swelling brought on by certain exercises, I would get it checked out just to be safe.

I am actually worth a few more pounds if I get my wrist positioning just perfect, and on really heavy sets I still prefer wrist wraps. The black Inzers are the best I've used, although I own a lesser set made by "Metal."
It may seem weird to think there are so many things that go into the perfect bench, but it really is a technical lift if you are looking to eek out the most. The weight should be centered damn near perfectly over your forearm itself to remove strain from the wrist. |

yeah, I have the same problem except its on the other side. A little bone sticks out on the back of my wrist. I also think its from benching. Been meaning to get it checked out by a physiotherapist..... |

i highly doubt that they can do anything to reverse the problem. I'm just worried about not being able to move my wrist when i'm 70, because i was a moron when i was 21. I've been using a wrist wrap for a couple of months now when i bench heavy, and i do like mudge said - make sure to keep the weight directly above the forearm. I just don't want the problem to get worse, and it seems like it hasn't.

hmmm, yeah but I am hoping they can give me some exercises to put the bone back, and see if they can confirm how it happened in the first place so it doesn't happen again. It doesn't seem to have affected any lifts, no pain or anything, just looks strange...

I do dumbell inclines. I love the flat bench too much to let it go...like i said, my form was bad - and now i've corrected it. A little late though.
