    Which routine?

I know which exercises to do now...

But whats a good weekly plan?

    Sun: Chest
    Mon: Rest
    Tues: Bicep/Tricep
    Wed: Back/shoulders
    Thursday: Rest
    Friday: Hardcore abs/cardio
    Saturday Legs

    Or should I rest more?

    Monday: Chest/Triceps
    Tuesday: Rest
    Wednesday: Back/Biceps
    Thursday: Rest
    Friday: Legs/Shoulders
    Saturday/Sunday: rest

I prefer the top one really, I do abs not just on friday, but throughout the week.. whenever I have time, usually try to do it 3 times a week, and a little bit of cardio here and there..

but wouldn't mind some suggestions on routines )

I like the second one much better, less chance for over training.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

    1) Can you put up your stats. The reason is because of your ab and cardio day.
    2) #2 Is better but I'd move shoulders to Mon with Chest and tri's. Now with that being said if leg day is not to taxing on you then leave as is. Most people work legs very hard and after your done, you may find you don't have the energy to do Shoulders.
    3) Give us an idea of what leg and shoulder day exercises look like.

how about this, I modified #2 slightly!:

    1) Chest and Tris
    2) Core and Back
    3) Bis and forearms
    4) shoulders
    5) legs

I know theres one extra day, but with this routine you should be able to keep your workouts down to 45 minutes which IMO is beneficial.
Also, make sure to do cardio atleast 3X a week for 30mins, your heart is your most important muscle!!

I see two rest days in one of his programs and three in the other. Now unless someone has made a 8 day week tell me where it shows anything about working out 5 days a week.

no, theres two rest days in one program and FOUR in the other. it doesn't say anythind about working out 5 days a week, but ha says that he prefers that program. the problem is, is that the programs shit, hes doing back the day after bis and shoulders the day after tris.

so what i did was take the three day schedule program and adapt it to a five day cycle. he doesnt say anything about # of days he want to be at the gym, he just confused between allowing muscles to rest between workouts, and taking days off from the gym altogether.

a word of advice, if your gonna respond to peoples posts, it helps to read them in the first place!

    Gentleman! LOL

I'm liking all the suggestions, I'm actually not looking for a 3 day workout week, more or less a 5 day workout week with only 2 days of actual rest (no working out, period).

Basically I'd like to incorporate Abs in 3 times a week, and Cardio in 3 times a week as well...

So I've figured I'm going to go with Mr. Tough Old Man's suggestion and stick with my first routine.

But I hate the Saturday/Sunday rest time.. How about I just step it up 1 day, keep that split though... So basically

    Sunday: Chest/Tris
    Monday: Rest
    Tuesday: Back/Bis
    Wednesday: Rest
    Thursday: Legs/shoulders
    Friday: Abs
    Saturday: Chest/Tris
    Sunday: Rest
    Monday: Back/Bis
    ......
    Get the picture?

I don't like 5 day splits. I think your body could use more days off of resistance training. As well, it's much easier to adhere to a 3 or 4 day split.

that looks better, heres a slight mod, so you can really focus on your legs. remember you have to hit the hams, glutes, quads, and calves all in one day, and by them you'll be to tired to do shoulders

    Thursday: Legs
    Friday: Abs/shoulders/traps

my intensity has gotten to the point that i cannot workout to my fullest doing more than one bp a day (usually)... so i usually do one bp a day, working out on a 2 on, 1 off, 2 on 2 off type schedule.
