i have just joined one of these fancy new gyms with swimming pools saunas etc. Was very reluctant to do so but was left with no other option after the gym i went to was closed down after a drugs bust (honestly)!
However seen as though i am paying an extortionate price to train at this new gym i want to get my full moneys worth.
The problem is, is that im currently mass gaining and was just wondering whether a quick swim and sauna after ive trained would do more harm than good.

Well that depends on how long there's between the last time you've eaten and
how long you workout. let's say you eat your pre-training meal at 1:00pm
and you are at the gym by 2:00pm and you are finished before 3:30, you could take a quick dip, but I would recommend not to wait longer than 2-2:30hours after you've last eaten. A good solution would be a nice Shake at the gym, just after your work out, but I don't know whether you can hold that in during swimming. I think It's best to mix it with your Cardio training, that you might do in the early morning or late at night. that takes less time, so more time for you to hit the pool and sauna.

just think if we deleted the two word only thread, the post whore thread, etc., then their post counts would drop to about half!
swimming is one of the best sports you can do as far as total body workout, it will stretch out all of your muscles for you. if your worried about burning too many cals since your on a bulk, just don't go to hard.
as for the sauna all that will do is make you sweat!
My favorite World's Gym closed a while back and I had no choice but to join one of those fancy gyms. (Lifetime Fitness)
I quickly found that besides all the extra fancy stuff, they have a boat load of equipment to work with. I've been able to train better there than I did at Worlds because I can do so many different exercises.
From what I've heard, swimming is an excellent training program because it works all your muscles.
If you do the swimming and your worried about expending calories, just increase your total calories for the day since your bulking anyway.
Was on a Ephedrine buying Frenzy before it was to late... Now, I've got enough stocked up to last 10 years!!
