    Worst...Thing....EVER

So i'm training tonite, halfway into a killer calves/shoulders/bi's w.o., when I grab some db's and sit down to do my next set.

I have a great pump going, and i'm all fired up to Hatebreed when i sit down and my music turns off. I think to myself "no biggie", the pause button prolly just hit my hip like it often does since my mp3 is tucked into the top of my boxers.

I put the weights down, stand up, grab the mp3, and hit the play button and NOTHING. Now i'm starting to panic. I look at the back, and it indicates low battery

So my thing died. Man was i fuckin' pissed. I had to go through the rest of my w.o. listening to the same soft rock/gay shit that Richard Simmons pumps iron to. Not to mention i hear other people's conversations about anything but training as well as every litlte noise in the gym.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh. Gotta remember to charge that little fucker from now on!

    Have a great night

That happened to me once. Luckily I train at home and don't have to listen to some idiot flirt with a girl or something. My brother's not usually home anyways...

Ya, I have a shuffle, too. I check the battery daily to make sure that it doesn't need charged. It does suck when you are in the middle of a song, goosebumps raised from Slipknot, and it all goes dead. It is like loosing your pump in the middle of a good workout.

Haha, I know what you mean... It doesn't really seem like it'd be a big deal, but it happened to me right when I was wrapping up my workout once. I thought to myself, "Wow, that would've sucked if that happened earlier." The music at a lot of gyms/fitness centers sucked, but I just changed and the music they play isn't all that bad.

Me either.. I would enjoy it, but I don't mine the lack of music. The sounds around me hardly even register... i'm usually pretty focused.

I workout in silence. Except for the sound of the fan on maximum revs. Used to be terrible in a gym, they'd have the radio on loud with music, then the news would come on, with some depressing item---I can't keep up a positive attitude with that, so the training would suffer..... Now I tend to go into a sort of 'hypnotised' state while training (dangerous maybe..), and can't stand any disturbance.

Wow, that sux for most of you that have to use a portable radio to listen to. The gym I work out in is a total sweat shop and Godsmack (among others) is typically blaring away. Its freakin awesome.

Nah, I can't stand headphones in my ears. I feel paranoid if I can't hear what's going on around me. Which means I get the gay gym music too. I like old school alternative, and they play boy band shit....

at my gym they play 89X in the weight room. its a new rock alternative station which is good enough considering I always get tangled in the headphone wires and my cd player is always bothering me when i lift.

in the cardio room they play pop music. ashley simpson and shit like that, so on go the headphones, nothing like the new SOAD cd to get me up to 170bpm.

I think you mistook the w.o. here... I believe he meant it to stand for "workout", not "without."

Hey flex. Think it might look funny with the charger and an ext cord hanging off that mp3 player to keep the batteries up. But that probably no worst then my workout today. I lift at home and want to play music but in the fucking backround i had to listen to my wife TV program JUDGE JOE BROWN. I wanted to jump into the TV, grab that little gavel from the Judge and hit the wife upside the head with it.
